Meet The Band

Greg King – Guitar

Greg King, hailing from Worcester, Massachusetts, is a guitarist with a passion for fusing jazz, progressive rock, and improvisational music. A Berklee College of Music graduate, Greg’s journey into the world of jam bands began after experiencing acts like Phish, Umphrey’s McGee, and Dopapod. This transformative discovery inspired his approach to guitar and shaped his path as a co-founder of Squeaky Feet.

Greg’s playing is a masterclass in technical skill and improvisational creativity, influenced by legends such as Jimmy Herring, John Scofield, Robben Ford, Julian Lage, and Mark Lettieri. His setup—featuring a PRS Fiore and PRS Custom 22 guitars, a Mesa Express 5:50 Plus amp, and a Neural DSP Quad Cortex—provides the tonal versatility essential for Squeaky Feet’s dynamic soundscapes.

Jimmy Finnegan – Bass

Jimmy Finnegan, a bassist from Chanhassen, Minnesota, brings a deep appreciation for classic progressive rock and jazz fusion to Squeaky Feet. Growing up immersed in the music of Rush, Yes, and Weather Report, Jimmy’s technical prowess and improvisational flair define the foundation of the band’s groove.

Equipped with a Sadowsky M-24, Fender American Pro II P, an Aguilar AG-700, and a love for octave pedals, Jimmy’s rig perfectly complements his versatile style. Outside of music, Jimmy can be found lost in a good book, belting out his favorite karaoke hits, or adventuring through the world of Zelda. His dynamic approach ensures that the low end of Squeaky Feet is as engaging as it is powerful.

Kevin D’Angelo – Drums

Kevin D’Angelo, the rhythmic backbone of Squeaky Feet, combines technical mastery with an innate sense of improvisational flow. Originally from New Jersey, Kevin’s time at Berklee College of Music led to his collaboration with future bandmates Greg King and Colin Shore. His influences include drumming icons like Tony Williams, Billy Martin, Stewart Copeland, John Fishman and Danny Carey, whose styles resonate in Kevin’s dynamic performances.

Known for his ability to navigate intricate time signatures and shifting grooves on his Canopus Ash kit, Kevin’s drumming is the driving force behind Squeaky Feet’s exhilarating live shows. Beyond the band, Kevin is deeply rooted in the Colorado music scene, engaging in collaborations that further expand his musical horizons.

Colin Shore – Guitar

Colin Shore, an Atlanta native, brings a rich tapestry of influences to Squeaky Feet. From the avant-garde brilliance of Frank Zappa to the virtuosity of Steve Vai and the experimental edge of Thundercat, Colin’s playing is a synthesis of technical excellence and creative exploration. A Berklee College of Music alumnus, he co-founded Squeaky Feet, channeling his passion for composition and improvisation into the band’s signature sound.

Cycling between a Strandberg Boden Original 6 and PRS Custom 24 Semi Hollow through his Mesa Fillmore 50, Colin’s performances are a testament to his innovative approach, blending precision and spontaneity to create captivating moments on stage. Off the stage, Colin enjoys unwinding with his cat and indulging in guilty pleasures like binge-watching bad TV shows.

Brian Keller – Keys/Horns

Brian Keller, a multi-instrumentalist originally from western Kansas, is the sonic architect behind Squeaky Feet’s lush keyboard and horn arrangements. With a Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance, Brian’s background in classical and jazz improvisation infuses the band’s music with depth and versatility. Influenced by a diverse array of genres, Brian seamlessly transitions between piano, saxophone, and flute to add rich textures to the band’s sound.

Outside of Squeaky Feet, Brian stays active as a session musician, educator, and collaborator in Northern Colorado’s music scene. When he’s not making music, he enjoys hiking in the mountains and exploring the latest video games. Brian’s contributions ensure that Squeaky Feet’s music resonates with both complexity and soul.
